LMOA is a Kindergarten through 6th grade public charter school scheduled to open in August 2027. It will be conveniently located near the towns of Chapin, Irmo, Ballentine, Newberry, and Little Mountain. We offer a high quality education with a unique blend of inquiry-based, experiential, and traditional instructional approaches. Our students spend the majority of the day outdoors where teachers implement lessons aligned to the South Carolina state standards with hands-on activities and projects.

At LMOA, students learn by doing — engaging in meaningful projects, exploring their natural surroundings, and developing critical thinking skills that connect learning to the real world. LMOA's approach encourages curiosity, collaboration, and a lifelong love of learning while preparing students to become globally competent citizens.
